In partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Epsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter, the Winding Ivy Community Development Foundation proudly sponsors events that raise funds for student scholarships. Our two premier co-sponsored events—the Pink Up the Pace 5K and the Pink Panache Scholarship Benefit Gala—serve as major contributors to our scholarship program, which supports female high school graduates in our community. Proceeds from these events also help fund our Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) literacy initiative.

 

In addition to scholarship and literacy efforts, the Foundation supports several community-centered programs, including our annual Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway and the Angel Tree Holiday Program, which provides essential items and toys to local families in need. Since our establishment in 2021, service has remained the cornerstone of the Winding Ivy Foundation. Guided by the theme “Investing in the Next Generation,” we seek to build a legacy of service by galvanizing our community to lead on the front lines of change, education, and advocacy.

 

The Winding Ivy Foundation operates under six core initiatives. Strengthen Our Sisterhood serves as the Foundation Initiative, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration as we advance our mission of service.

 

The remaining five initiatives represent our Program Initiatives, which include:

These initiatives are designed to improve the lives of those we serve. Through intentional collaboration, we aim to maximize our outreach, strengthen progressive community endeavors, and consistently develop leaders who uphold and advance our credo of service.
